The Keelboat Fleet extends a big THANK YOU to Dave Ginsberg. 

Last Saturday morning Henk, Rich, Brian and Rick were gathered in front of the clubhouse trying to figure out how to run a race with Rich doing a whistle start from his boat when Dave rode up on his bike, out for a morning workout.

Without hesitation he agreed to serve as judge for what turned out to be a great race.

Thank you Dave.

Registration and Headquarters and launching is located at the Sailing Dock.

Launching:

Boathouse (northeast shore of Lake Calhoun)

Bring your own mooring with 30 ft. of non-floating line

C, MC, M-16, Laser, 420, Keelboat:

Friday, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

Race Schedule:

Skippers meeting Saturday, 9:00 a.m. at the Boathouse

First race on Saturday, 10:00 a.m. start with 3 races scheduled;

Sunday, 9:00 a.m. start with 2 races scheduled

PRO may add races for some classes if weather/schedule permit

Trophies:

t C Class, Top 3 skippers and crew

t M-16 Class, Top 2 skippers and crew

t MC Class, Top 2 skippers

t Laser Class, Top 5 skippers, Top Junior, Top Radial

t 420 Class, Top 2 skippers and crew

Trophy presentation after the last race of the regatta at approximately 1:00 pm; Race-Winner mugs for each race

Lunch tickets are available at registration for $5.00.

Party:

Come as you are party following the last race on Saturday is included in the registration fee.

We will have wine, beer, soft drinks, and plenty of good food.

House is at the corner of 10th Street and 5th Avenue. You will need to park on

one of the streets nearby. Some are free, most are metered. There is a bowl

full of quarters just inside the front door for our guests, help yourself.

From the south

Take 35W north to the 5th Ave exit. The front door is just to your right as you
come up the ramp at the stop light.

From the west

Take 394 to the 12 St exit, first right turn onto 12th street. Continue to 3rd
Avenue, turn left on 3rd for 2 blocks to 10th St, right on 10th 2 blocks and you are

From the North

Take 94 east to the 4th Street exit. Continue on 4th Street to 3rd Avenue, turn
right on 3rd to 10th St, left on 10th 2 blocks and you are there.

From the East

I don’t know anybody from that direction.

My aunt has a story to tell about being groomed and abused by a priest in her (and my) church. If you have any interest in these kind events and the processes that continue to unfold, this is an incredible book that looks at the environment of the church (has it changed?) and her awesone, heroic fight to get the truth out.
